Our Ophthalmology team are led by our two highly-skilled consultants, Mrs. Brinda Shah from King’s College Hospital and Mr. Paritosh Shah, who previously worked within the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. They are complemented by Dr. Shalini Robertson and Dr. Emmanuel Lakidi and our dynamic and dedicated nursing team.

Mr. Paritosh Shah
Training & membership: MS (Master of Surgery) in Ophthalmology, medical retina fellowship at Moorfields Eye hospital, focusing on diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and ocular inflammation, two fellowships in vitreo-retinal surgery (one International Council of Ophthalmology), worked with the Western Sussex NHS Trust vitreo-retinal team

Mrs. Brinda Shah
Training & membership: MS (Master of Surgery) in Ophthalmology, advanced training in Phacoemulsification, International Council of Ophthalmology Fellowship in glaucoma, FRCOphth, former Glaucoma and A&E fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital, research and clinical fellow alongside Mr. Sheng Lim at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals
Dr. Shalini Jaya Robertson
Training and membership: MBBS 1997 Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery 2002 from the Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India. Dr. Robertson worked at a mission hospital in India in their Ophthalmology department prior to joining the NHS in 2012, where she worked at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton before joining our team at Yeovil District Hospital.
