Yeovil Hospital’s OSCE prep training is delivered over a 4 day programme (with other training options available – see table below) and based on the criteria set by the NMC. The course syllabus equips candidates with the practical and theoretical knowledge to pass the OSCE exam. Yeovil Hospital’s OSCE training is delivered on a ward set up specifically for this course, and to date candidates have had a 100% success rate whom have taken the training.

Led by experienced practitioners the programme covers all core elements set out in part 2 of the NMC test of competence:

  • Assessment, Implementation, Planning & Evaluation (AIPE)
  • Skills stations
  • Basic Life Support using QCPR technology giving real time objective feedback
  • Communication including Holistic Patient Centred Care and Active Listening Skills
  • OSCE Top Tips

The full course also features a mock assessment to ensure candidates have the opportunity to practice their skills under exam conditions in preparation for their final exam.

Single bedroom with own wash basin in a flat with kitchen, bathroom and toilet shared with up to 3 other guests. Maximum 1 person.

Convamore Double Room:

Double room with own wash basin and television, including DVD p;layer and catch-up TV, in a flat sharing kitchen, bathroom and toilet with up to 3 other people. Maximum 2 persons.
