Wednesday 27 September – 5:30pm to 8pm – The Academy, Level 4, Yeovil Hospital
Yeovil Hospital’s AGM (Annual General Meeting) may not sound like a social calendar highlight, but we know that our patients, staff and local residents are interested in a bit more about their hospital than the annual finance update.
Our AGM event aims to reflect the passion and interest in local services among our patients and patients’ families, members and governors, staff and management, volunteers and other local people.
From 6pm in the Academy’s Marsh Jackson room (named for the first two clinicians working at Yeovil Hospital’s 1930s site: Dr. Charles James Marsh and Matron Jackson), you will hear about patient service developments over the past year. Following this, there will be an update on work the innovative vanguard project, Symphony, has been doing with GP surgeries across the county and beyond, before Paul Mears, CEO, discusses our plans for the year ahead.
Throughout the rest of the Academy you will find a wide and varied array of stands manned by staff happy to answer questions, give information and have a chat about their areas of expertise, including:
- Organ donation
- Health checks
- Hospital buildings & estates
- Yeovil Hospital Charity
- Membership & Governors
- League of Friends
- Research & development
- Stroke services
- Patient experience
- Recruitment & apprenticeships
- Hospital Chaplaincy
Yeovil Hospital invites all members of the public and its staff to the AGM on Wednesday 27 September, from 5:30pm to 8pm at The Academy on level 4 of the hospital (which is fully accessible to wheelchair users).
Drop in at any time between 5:30pm and 8pm. Stay as long as you want, have a cup of tea or coffee and find out about everything happening at Yeovil Hospital.
