I am a Paediatric trained nurse, with a specialist interest in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Surgery. I trained at the University of Plymouth and after my training I started my nursing career as a burns and Neurology nurse at Bristol before moving to Yeovil Hospital in 2009, where I worked for 5 years as an Emergency Department Staff Nurse. Whilst working in ED I fell pregnant, and due to complications in pregnancy was unable to carry out the labour intensive work in ED so I initially started working here in 2014, as an administrator.

Whilst on Maternity leave, I initially had plans to return to ED but I found myself missing the team and department. An Oncology post became available and I applied and I started in the department in March 2015. After 6 months in Oncology, I switched over to the Surgical, ICU and Emergency Care of the trials department with a specialist interest in Colorectal Surgery. I currently work within the Surgical, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Parkinson’s, Gastroenterology and intensive care portfolio.

When not in work I can be found with my nose in a book, spending quality time with friends and family and being a mummy. I am a keen foodie and love everything Disney related.
